Tale of Many Gamers - Day 1

Saturday saw the first match-up for our Tale of Many Gamers campaign.
We showed up at Fan Quest (our FLGS) with the intent of running a few demos/answering questions for new players that may be hanging around.  The turn out was pretty great, and I think we may have coaxed a few new players into the hobby. Never a bad thing if you ask me!

When it came time to put our new armies on the table, I was impressed all-around.
My Wolves came out better than I expected them to (pics coming soon!).
JD's Eldar are GORGEOUS. He converted them over from WHFB High Elves and Archers.
And Ron's Dark Eldar are nothing to be scoffed at. Beautiful paint jobs across the board.
I'll see if I cant get a couple of pictures of their armies.

My match-up against the DE was short and sweet.
I took a 10-man Grey Hunter pack (2 Plasma, MotW, and Power Weapon), a 7-man Pack (Meltagun, MotW, Power Fist, Drop Pod) and a Rune Priest (Chooser) with Living Lightning and JotWW.

I don't know much about DE units, but He brought a boat full of Wytches, and a 10-man (woman?) squad of rifles. There was a Succubus tucked in with the Wytches. I may be leaving something out, but again, I don't know anything about DE units ( only that wytches scare me, lol)
I rolled up first turn, and dropped my pod in right in front of his rifle squad, only 2 inches off target.
My rune priest (thanks to Chooser) was able to pop the Wytchboat with a little Living Lightning right away. They are a bit less intimidating when you force them to walk...but only a bit.
The drop pod squad shot with pistols and charged in to the rifle squad, killing a few, losing no one, and driving them off the table.  Not a bad 1st turn I'd say.
The game ended fairly quickly thereafter. The DE ended up just off of their objective by the end and it was called as a victory for the Sons of Russ.

All in all I have no complaints with my list.  I'm dying to throw in some Sniper scouts for that added ranged Anti-infantry power.
