THE MEAT GRINDER
War is underway. As in all conflicts, one of your primary objectives is to take away your enemies ability to wage war. Strike at the enemies troops. Kill their bodies to break their spirit.
Setup: Roll to determine who goes first. Set up using standard “Spearhead”. Use your standard 1,850 list.
You can seize the initiative as normal.
Random game length is in effect.
Men are cheap:
At the beginning of any of your turns any troop choice that has been completely killed, run off the board or you can declare a troop choice “dead” and remove them from the board. They can immediately move on from your long table edge in the movement phase and move, shoot and assault as normal. Any special characters or transports that they had on the original squad do not respawn. This new squad is considered a separate unit for game terms and counts as separate victory points. Respawned units cannot deepstrike or infiltrate.
There is no limit to how often you can do this in the game or even to the same unit of troops. You can even declare multiple units “dead” in the same turn. Each time you do this, it counts as a single Kill Point and triggers the secondary objective.
Primary Objective: Standard Kill Points
+15 battle points for winning, +5 for a draw
Secondary Objective: Eliminate Troops
+2 battle points for each occurrence of your opponent declaring a unit “dead”
Tertiary Objective: Protect your troops
+5 if every one of your original troop choices survives the game without being declared “dead”
